(I have been battling Lymphoma at the Minneapolis VA for 4 years now, it is presumed to be from Agent Orange).  READ FULL LETTER

Sharing in Soldier’s Moral Grief:
A Conversation with Dr. Edward W. Beal.

Published, November  2021.

Excerpt: “The military does a good job at the ritual of dying,” says Dr. Beal, referencing the pomp, circumstance, formal tradition, and perfectly folded American flags at military funerals. “But the military does not do a good job of talking about grief, dying, or what happens after dying for those left behind. It’s on people—civilians— to break this stigma and welcome military populations into compassionate conversations.”
