Upcoming Speaking Engagement
On Monday, October 27th at 2:30 Dr. Edward Beal will be speaking to The Center for Family Process. via zoom. His topic is “Societal Regression as Viewed Through the Lens of our Founding Documents.”
Dr. Beal is Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at the Georgetown University School of Medicine and is a “Distinguished Retired Faculty” member of the Bowen Center for the Study of the Family.” He has spent the last 45 years studying the family, 20 years writing about the government and the last 10 years working with the military as a psychiatrist. He has written numerous papers and chapters in professional journals as well as a book, “The Adult Children of Divorce” and was co editor of Ed Friedman’s posthumously published book “A Failure of Nerve.” In his presentation,
Dr. Beal will be drawing from his most recent book, “War Stories from the Forgotten Soldiers, Listen as they Speak”, which is now available through Amazon and is a recommended reading.

About the author
Edward Beal, MD.
Dr. Beal is a Clinical Professor of Psychiatry, Georgetown University School of Medicine, a Distinguished Life Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association, Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and served as a Captain in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. WAR STORIES FROM THE FORGOTTEN SOLIDERS is the culmination of nearly eight years of experience and almost 5,000 interviews working with returning soldiers. He is the coauthor of ADULT CHILDREN OF DIVORCE and coeditor of A FAILURE OF NERVE as well as numerous academic papers and book chapters. His popular press writings appear in the Washington Post, and CPF Quarterly.
